Talented Zimbabwean sports lawyer and governance expert Nyasha Tashinga Sanyamandwe launches her own law firm
A current Board Member of the Zimbabwe Olympic Committee, and past Board Member for her nation’s Football Association and consultant for World Rugby, rising star Nyasha Tashinga Sanyamandwe has announced the launch of her own law firm
Zimbabwean lawyer and governance expert Nyasha Tashinga Sanyamandwe says she is “deeply grateful” to her mentors, colleagues, clients, family, and friends “whose guidance and support” contributed to the achievement of launching her own specialist law firm five years after she was admitted to the Zimbabwean bar.
Congratulations have flowed since Nyasha announced last week that she was now Managing Partner of Nyasha Tashinga Legal Group of Attorneys, a new boutique practice specialising in Sports & Entertainment Law, Corporate and Commercial Law, Intellectual Property, Immigration, Real Estate and Conveyancing, Labour and Employment Law, Trusts and Estates, Compliance, and Sports Infrastructure.
A law graduate of the University of Zimbabwe who recently celebrated the five-year anniversary of her admission to the Zimbabwean Bar, Nyasha has been heavily involved in sports governance in recent years. During 2023-2024, she was appointed by the FIFA Council as a Consultant to serve on the ZIFA Normalisation Committee, tasked with supporting the governance, administration, and institutional reform of the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) during a critical transition period.
Last year, Nyasha spent six months as a consultant to World Rugby, appointed as Independent Counsel to the Asia Rugby Oversight Committee, providing governance and legal oversight across 34 Member Unions. The young Zimbabwean lawyer played a key role in strengthening governance standards, accountability mechanisms, and organisational sustainability throughout the Asia Rugby region.
Nyasha is also the current Chairperson: Legal, Governance and Member Standards Compliance Commission for the Zimbabwe Olympic Committee. Reflecting on her first five years in legal practice, Nyasha recently shared that she has been privileged to grow through experiences that have stretched her professionally and personally.
“Each opportunity has reinforced the importance of integrity, continuous learning, and service,” she shared on LinkedIn. “The journey has been challenging, rewarding, and deeply fulfilling. I am grateful to my family, mentors, colleagues, clients, and friends who have contributed to my growth along the way.”
Looking ahead, Nyasha said she remains committed to building on her early foundations, embracing new challenges, and creating meaningful impact.
Now her next chapter begins, with the launch of Nyasha Tashinga Legal Group.
